Dulux Colour Trend – Rugs Direct takes a look

It’s the 15th year of Colour Futures from Dulux – the trend research where they identify one hero paint colour that is relevant in homes around the world. This year’s colour has been announced as Heart Wood, a beautiful warm pink chosen by the colour specialists at Dulux Global Aesthetic Centre and at Rugs Direct we take-a-look at what that means for your rug choice.

Dulux believe “Calm or cosy, energetic or relaxed – the feel of your home can be transformed by Heart Wood in different ways. Dive deeper into Dulux Colour of the Year’s four complementary colour palettes for 2018 to find the mood and style that suits you.”

Heart Wood could have an origin from Scandinavia, sitting between a smoky taupe and dusky mauve, Heart Wood is a ‘warm neutral, with a hint of heather,’ and if perfect for those customers trying to turn their home into tranquil sanctuaries where the precious free time can be spent in a peaceful and quiet place.

Our first selection to match the decor is our Campari rug, perfectly fitting in to the mauve spectrum of Heat Wood it will add a touch of elegance to the room. The Brooklyn collection of rugs has truly embraced this colour scheme with a choice of colours through the whole range of this palette choice.

During these uncertain times this colour trend is meant to bring you a calm and tranquil place to sit and take the day in, while you let your mind become peaceful, letting your mindfulness take you to your place.

We would love to hear and see your trends for 2018, send you photos in once youhave completed your projects.
